Synopsis

The Heart of the Courageous: The gift of love-based anger is an outgrowth of the author’s highly successful workshop. The book and workshop offer an effective approach to resolving hurtful, fear-based anger for those courageously seeking change.  Kuzmich and Stewart explain the six laws of love-based anger to help you:

  • Identify blind spots regarding your anger styles
  • Recognize your role in hurting others
  • Respond rather than react to triggers
  • Restore damaged relationships
  • Add new beliefs to make effective, lasting change
  • Let go of control and trust the process

Everyone has feelings, needs, and voids. In order to rediscover happiness, you have to deal with the unhappiness.  “Who did God originally intend you to be?  What are the true desires of your heart?”  I was excited and motivated to find answers. - Ryan Lefebvre, Broadcaster for the Kansas City Royals Major League baseball club, reflecting on his coaching with Kuzmich in his book The Shame of Me: One man’s journey to depression and back

The Heart of the Courageous on 06/25/10

Most of us hold ourselves back at home and at work due to current and past grievances. Somehow, being angry has a place in life, to work for us – not against us.

You can learn to stop saying…

  • Why bother?
  • Does it make any difference?
  • I’m sick and tire of the “Catch 22.”
  • No matter what I do…
  • _________ makes SO angry.
  • Does anybody really care?

Through experiential learning techniques, auditory, visual and kinesthetic presentations, and individual feedback you will learn:

  • to make anger your ally
  • the biology and psychology of anger
  • the different styles of anger
  • why anger is a root of relationship problems
  • how to be in charge of your anger
  • why anger is the guardian of self-esteem
  • how to express your anger without inappropriate behavior
  • and the myths about anger

The woman’s seminar will begin Friday evening from 7:00pm – 11:00pm and continue on Saturday morning from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The mens seminar will begin Saturday evening from 7:00pm – 11:00pm and continue on Sunday morning from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The couples will participate in an additional 2-hour combined session beginning Sunday at 5:30pm.

I Highly Recommend This to Anyone; it is Well Worth Your Time.

“No way. Not me. I don’t have an anger problem.”

These were the first sentences that ran thru my head when I heard about this seminar. Fortunately, I decided to proceed and attend the Men at Anger Seminar. Not only did I learn valuable knowledge at the 2 day seminar, I learned what type of anger I have and how to mangage it as well. We all have anger. It has helped me with day to day tasks, planning for my future, and helped me become a better person. I highly recommend this to anyone; it is well worth your time.

I Have Become More Highly Effective

“As a professional in clinical practice I provide anger management training. I realize I’m unable to take my patients any further with their issues than the point where I am on my issues. The anger management seminar allowed me to explore my issues surrounding hurt from childhood at a depth I never had gone in the past. As a result of the seminar I have become more highly effective in my clinical practice and in my relationships.” Thank you Harry and Gary!

Significant Improvement in the Overall Culture of the Firm

Our financial services firm began using the Performance Coaching services provided by Compass Global Group in April of 2007. Our management team meets with Gary Kuzmich on a weekly basis to cover such topics as leadership skills, group continuity, performance management and accountability. Gary also meets one-on-one with several of our advisors every week to assist them individually with areas that they can improve upon to increase their performance.

Without a doubt, both the group and individual coaching sessions have made a significant improvement in the overall culture of the firm (i.e. more focus on performance) as well as the uniformity of the leadership team.  We now have other advisors that were not part of the initial sessions asking to be included in the coaching going forward. It has been an extremely beneficial investment.

I would highly encourage EVERY organization to make the Compass Global Group part of their overall growth strategy.
